Do fixed chokes give better shot patterns than choke tubes and do really experienced shotgunners have a preference ?If fixed chokes are the answer, what chokeswould you choose for a universal single or double gun?

The fixed vs. tube question was answered by Stan Baker (very knowledgable barrel maker) in the current "Shotgun Sports" magazine. His answer was no difference between the two. The next question is tougher. It depends on the use but for a single I would say mod., for a double imp. cyl/mod. Go with tubes and buy them all.
