Hi all, you helped me so much on my Colt Commander thought I would try another, Just picked up a Remington Rand Inc. Syracuse, N Y.USA, But the frame says Essex Arms Corp. Island Pong VT. SN 48946, Was this frame A replacement for the original that someone added? if so I don't suppose it is worth much. But it sure is a nice looking gun. Thanks Tom

My uncle died and gave me several guns. One is a Remington Rand with the serial #23818 made by Essex Arms Corp in Island Pond,VT the barrel is stamped with
    NM7267717
    Colt's MFG Co
    1930200
I was wondering if there is any collector value to this gun and an estimated price. The quality of the gun is good. But you can tell it has been enjoyed at the firing range. The numbers on the barrel were a little hard to read but outside of this it looks well kept.
