HDWRENCH: I have a wood stock version of the Crossman M-1 Carbine that I got for Christmas 36 years ago. Have seen them in excellent to very good condition go for $100 to $125 at shows and up to $175 at estate auctions. Have seen the plastic stock versions go from $35 to $65. These air rifles are very realistic looking and can be confused for the real thing by idiot LEOs. Had mine confiscated as an assault weapon during a divorce and returned two years later after having to file a lawsuit in order to get it and other "firearms" back.

HDWRENCH: Pulled my old buddy out of the safe after reading your post, it still shoots like new after 36 years. The only markings on the air rifle that I could find are on the left side of barrel ( M-1 CARBINE ) and on the right side of barrel ( Crosman Arms Co. Inc., Fairport, N.Y. U.S.A. ). Other than shows and auctions I have seen a few at yard sales and flee markets in poor but salvageble condition. Some parts are still available from various firearm parts suppliers and if you find a rebuildable one with a plastic stock (most are cracked or broken) you can have a new wood stock made as well as a dummy wood clip (most always the clip is missing but the rifle holds 13 BBs in the tubular magazine under the handguard). Got mine when "Combat" was still on the air and even took it to school for show and tell back when things in this country were normal. Many of rat, starling , pigeon, and barn sparrow met it's fate with that trusty old BB gun - a very accurate reliable shooter with adjustable sights - have killed birds up to 30 yards and rats up to 10 yards. Good luck on your search and I'll keep an eye out for one if still looking.
