Does the encore pistol and the encore muzzleloader have the same frame? I have the 50 cal muzzleloader and want to buy the pistol. Is this compatable or is it just pistol to carbine?

The frame/receiver is the same, just buy the barrels and forearms and grip.

Check your state regulations. I some states the frame has to be registered as a pistol frame to be legally used with a pistol barrel and grips. In other words if it started as a pistol it's OK to convert back and forth, if it started as a rifle it might not be.

Sorry for butting in on someones question. Are you guys saying that once the leagal part whether it is a hand gun or rifle is decided the Encore frame is what ever you put on it for a barrel? One day a black powder shooter, the next day a high power rifle, and the next day a hand gun only by changing the barrels and stock, etc.? Same frame each time. Thanks

I think you are asking if the encore can be turned into all three firearms using the same frame? If so then yes, Rifle, Pistol, black powder pistol, black powder rifle, and I saw a coming attraction shotgun barrel. The uses of these are growing and growing. And, if you polish the internal trigger parts, we got one down around 1 1/2lbs pull.
