I'm considering selling off a shotgun and rifle that are not complete (missing bolts and mags)----would i still have to ship only to an FFL holder?

If you are shipping to another state, yes. As long as the reciever is intact, interstate shipping will need to go to FFL.

    Thanks Taz
guess i'd better not try it
betcha the penalties would be quite stiff for a violation of this nature----will probably do some local trading instead.

Local trading is always better. Less paper trail for the sniffers to follow, if (when) the day ever comes that THEY try and take our guns ...

One thing to consider ... you ( a non licensed person) CAN sell and ship to a licensed person WithOut Fears of Problems , we (licensed persons "dealers) just cannot sell & ship to non licensed persons out of state ???.....so what do you have and what are you asking ???? azgunnut2@yahoo.com....

Require that the buyer pays shipping and dealer costs in the auction.Pack it carefully. Get your buyer to get a copy of his dealers ffl signed in inkTake it to post office, must send parcel postwith insurance. Let them know what it is and show the FFL.They may want to open the box to check it so take some real box tape along. Cost to ship is 15- 20 dollarsRifle must not be loaded.Ship to the buyers dealer with buyers name on rifle. That simple. No big deal. You will also probably get a little better price from an auction than the guys at the gun show. They try to make at least a hundred bucks on a transaction, so I don't ever bother to sell to them.EricEric
