Need specifics on Class 3 and full autos.

I've been considering buying a full-auto gun. Been looking at HK-94 or clones like the SW-5. Also considered CAR-9.I'm a little confused regarding what's legal. I understand that if I purchase a full auto gun that is complete, I just need to find a Class 3 dealer in my area, file for the tax stamp and buy the gun.If I want to build one... what do I do?I see many auctions here of people selling the "auto-sear" for ar-15 and m-16s. If I have a preban ar-15, can I purchase one of these "auto-sears", register it, and convert my pre-ban CAR-9 to full auto? What about a post-ban?Sorry for the barrage of questions. I'm a real newbie when it comes to full-autos.

J.S. We can only dream! If you want a full auto, it had to be declared and registered before the ban. There are no more new legal full autos manufactured for us regular guys. If you buy a full auto conversion for say an AR and put it into your new Bushmaster, you are risking bad stuff! The thing is, the parts for full auto can still be made, but they are to be put as replacement parts in a previously regestered weapon. Check out GB. There are plenty full autos out there. They just are a little pricey. On the other hand, the price should only go up.

HOPEFULLY the price for the owner will only go up, but if... excuse me, but WHEN these weapons are banned entirely, that "register" of guns someday becomes a "list"At this point they will have the name and address of every new "offender".
