glock 17 mags

Just got the Kel Tec Sub Rifle 2000, haven't had a chance to shoot it yet. This one takes the glock 17 mags. A buddy at work has two 30 round glock mags and no longer has a glock 9mm hand gun. Not sure if their glock 17's, but if they are, I'm thinking of offering him $50. a piece. Is that a fair price? More or less? I'm not a Glock person, but I am aware of how high the cost as risen on high cap mags. Any expert advice is appreciated.

The first question is are the 30rd magazines metal or synthetic? If they are metal, you probably don't want them. You definitely don't want to pay $50 a piece, maybe $20-25. If the are synthetic, are they Sherer or actual Glock? If they are Sherer, $50-70 each, Glock $75-125 each. The metal ones are still available for little money. Part of the reason is that they have a reputation for not working and damaging you plastic mag release.

Stay with Glock mags. You say you are not sure if they are 17's. If they are 30-rd mags, they should fit in a 17, 19, or 26.

I bought some after market mags and they chewed up my release lever.I filed off the sheet metal and soldered on some brass strips in place of the stampedstop....works great ,after moulding lips, replacing mag release.,,,works good.,,,nothings free.
