hastings barrels

I have just bought a Hastings barrel to go on my 870 Remington.When I took the choke tube out,I noticed that the threads are a lot different than the chokes I have for my Remington stock barrel and my Winchester Ranger 120.Do you have to buy chokes that fit only Hastings barrels regardless of shotgun they are on?

    has anyone shot a hastings 12 ga. barrel with their csd mussel brake??
    does it reduce kick???? are their other ways to control this???
    I'm looking for a good slug gun which will include a raised comb stock.

    I'm looking for a new barrel for my 870 express mag and I was offered a deal on a hastings barrel that would fit it. Does anybody have any feedback on these barrels or am I just way better off buying a mossberg or remington barrel?
