Got back from the range, started cleaning pistols and when I started on the model 65 Taurus I noticed the frame had cracked.I'm gonna send it to them and was wondering if their lifetime warrenty is as good as they say it is. Has anyone had any experience with Taurus customer service? Good experience or not any info would be appreciated.

I have a model 85 that after 10 rnds the cylinder would bind up, sent to taurus and they repaired it no questions asked, even sent a lock along with it when they sent it back.

I have both a model 65 and a PT111. After six monthe the slide disassembley latch broke in half on the PT111. I sent it back to Taurus and it took over 6 weeks to replace one part. On return I found they had squashed the rear site so that it was no longer usefull. I called about that and it took two weeks to send me a replacement. The attitude of the person on the phone was a big put off also.
Up to then I had been a big fan of Taurus and would have recommended them but not now I am afraid.

Bought Mrs. Gunpaq a M-35 rose/gold .38spl because she thought it was prettier then the Lady Smith. After about 75 rounds the cylinder bound up. Sent the revolver back to the factory. The factory did not fix it but sent back a new one. A new gun for a used broken one was not a bad deal. Have about 800 rounds through the new one with no problems, yet.

Pack slow, fall stable, pull high, hit dead center.

I think you will find the folks at Taurus very delightful to deal with. As for your gun trouble, thats the first Taurus Ive heard of doing that. But I learn something new every time Im here.

I hope you get your gun back soon!

    Good luck.

I have a model 99 9mm that I bought used. The rear sight broke off during an IDPA match. I returned it to Taurus and had it back with a new sight in a week. I was impressed with that level of service.

I had a PT100 40 cal. Biggest piece of junk I ever wasted my money on. I guess was lucky, I never found myself in a situation where I had to depend on it to save my life or a family members. I was able to sell the pretty piece of sh_t and now I have a Kimber Custom Stainless Target. I have had no misfires no malfuntions and no problems. Its the most accurate pistol Ive ever owned. I also had a ss taurus 357 mag. I sold it and now have a Colt King Cobra SS 357 Mag. with a 6" barrel. I think Ill sell it as well though and get me a Glock or if my friend can get one cheap enouph maybe an HK usp comp.

When Clinton left office they gave him a 21 gun salute. Its a damn shame they all missed....

Taurus has been great to deal with. I had a PT100 that was a jamming piece of crap, until I sent it to Taurus. They repaired it & it never jams now. It only took them 2 weeks to get the gun back to me. I have put about 2000 rounds through it since without any trouble. I've never heard anyone say that Taurus refused to fix one of their guns. RG

The first and only Taurus I owned was sent back for repairs a couple of times. They took care of the problem both times at no charge and paid shipping back to me...They could not fix the accuracy problems, so I finally got rid of it.

I have had friends send their Taurus back for repairs and they have
been pleased with the results. I have an FFL and when asked what a good firearm for the money is, I advise Taurus. I have shot several
of their line and been pleased with them. Currenlty looking at the
    945 in stainless.

I'm sure other manufactures have their pros and cons as well. Ruger is
good for repairing and not charging and they don't have a lifetime
warranty. Colt has done repair work for me and very resonable cost.

    Keep honking, I'm just reloading

Never had a taurus, and after reading this thread I never will. It's nice all these positive experiences having your guns fixed...but all these instances of them needing to be fixed. I say get it fixed, sell it, and get a glock.
