Is there a place to find the date of manufacture, or at least the year, for a Harrington&Richardson trapdoor .45-70 ? I think they were made in the 1970's.

I have a box of Remington Kleanbore 30-40 Krag, 220 grain softpoint ammunition. There are 18 rounds left in the box. There is a hand written price on the end of the box of $1.79. There is a stamp on the back of the box. It reads Y14E67. Can I find the date of manufacture, and since the box is in very good condition, does it have any value?

Allen, thank you very much! Does that mean that it doesn't have the cross bolt safety?

Charlie, only reference I can find on the cross-bolt safety is on the 1994 Limited Edition Centenial. The angle ejection became standard feature in 1982. Hope this helps.

According to The Blue Book, 22nd. Edition, page 1443; "Beginning in 1992, all Model 94s and variations (not including the 9422 models) received an engineering change utilizing a cross-bolt in the upper rear of the receiver that prevents the hammer fron contacting the firing pin.".
