Need opinions of Special Weapons LLC Inc.

Before I say anything, I would like to state that I know very little about this company....I am not trying to slander there name. However when I spoke with another custom gun shop owner he went into a torent about accusations of theft, lying, and cheating. I don't care to go into detail about the aligations because I don't know if they are true. I have heard other people say wonderful things about Special weapons products. Most of the remarks from the other gunsmith were in referance to the owner of special weapons and the way he did buisness.
I was hoping to purchase a HK SL8 w/ the magwell conversion from Special weapons. I need other peoples opinions of this company and its products before I purchase a very expensive firarm from them. Again, I AM NOT PERSONALLY SAYING ANYTHING BAD ABOUT THIS COMPANY.

    I've never dealt directly with the company or anyone employeed by the company but I have a SW3 and it is an excellent rifle. Very well made and shoots great! You're doing the right thing though if you have concerns. I too would like to hear feedback from anyone who's dealt with them directly.

    Though, if you're buying an SL8 from them I guess you're still really buying an HK.

    What you might try is calling the BBB, and seeing if they have any feedback on the company, or the NRA or the Firearms Dealers Association, or the BATF for that matter.

    lots of allegations of wrongdoing by these people can be found on different sites on the web. hk91.com ar15.com are some sites that i've seen negative comments and reviews. i have had no personal dealings with the company, but it sure sounds like they might be iffy.
