There used to be a good gunsmith in Eugene, Ken Ludwig. Check with Steve Huey at SM Guns on River Rd. in Eugene to see if Ken is still in the area.

    If not then see:

Allison & Carey Gun Works, 17311 SE Stark, Portland (actually Gresham), Or. 97233. 503-256-5166

Allison & Carey have been in business for MANY years and are renowned throughout the west. They have been mentioned favorably by some of the great gun writers, including the late Jack O'Connor.

Allison & Carey gets all of my business since I moved from Eugene.

You can never have too many guns!!!

If you are willing to drive across the Columbia River (another 15 miles) I have had great luck, and gotten great advice from Whipple Creek Armory. The phone is 360-574-6445.
Dan Giles is the Smith, NRA Benefactor member and in buisness since 1969.

I only let one guy touch my stuff anymore, he is independant, sometimes rude and it's either his way or the doorway but if you want it done right and or want some Master Work done you might try Roger at Firearm Centers at 13760 SE Division in Portland his Phone # is 503-760-1723 He is closed on Mondays and he aint cheap. He has done work on a Luger a Walther PP and a 1911 Colt for me, if you can get past the rude and into his sense of humor you'll find a Master Smith who knows his stuff. No body else for me anymore. P.S. Dont expect it back tomorrow. The Sandman
