I don't know where you can get that info publicly, but owners manuals and copies of owners manuals are sold for various guns. You'd just have to keep your eyes open. S&W has a catalog request form here: http://www.smith-wesson.com/catalogmanual/catalogs.htm but I don't know if they still offer that particular model or not. The 422, 622, and 2206 are the same design, just different finishes and/or materials. The model 41 is also vaguely the same (but not identical), and does take the same magazines.
I have owners manuals for mine, but I currently don't have a scanner so I can't scan them. I tried snapping a digital picture of them and it wasn't clear at all. If you have specific questions I could maybe answer them. Either way, if you didn't get the take-down tool it sure makes it easier. However, it can be done without it.
I bought the gun cause a guy at work said it was dirty (got it in parts)
so he took it apart and couldnt get it working again. the prob is the trigger does'nt seem to reset itself after I put it back together. I need an exploded veiw to make sure I got all parts when bought. O i got it for
$25 so im not to worried about it
Thanks for the welcome althought I've been reading post for a while I just signed up.
Well this first part is redundant to bambihunters, sorry.
Most manufacturers will be happy to supply customers with manuals and catalogs for their firarms. All you have to do is ask. Here is the link for the S&W web page for that request. Just fill out the short form and e-mail it to them. Yes, the 422 is on the list that you can request.

These are sites for exploded views but don't contain the S&W 422. They might be of interest to other members, though.

Best.
I'd buy it for that too!
I'd request the manual from S&W, it might still be in print. If that doesn't work let me know and I'll see if I can't get the info scanned, I'm going out of town this weekend and they have a working scanner (I think).
I took some more digitals without the flash (it was washing it out) and they are horrible at best. I don't think they'll be any help to you. However, the exploded view picture shows the models 2213 & 2214 are the same along with those mentioned earlier (model 41 was NOT listed so it is obviously different).
The link to those pictures is:

I'll try some more and see if any of them might be readable to ya.
O.K. to the tech part. I was missing 1 spring for the trigger so took a
small spring (from my spring kit) found 1 that fit and put the gun together. AGAIN THANKS FOR ALL THE INFO you have made me a happy happy man and now i have a S&W 422 that works perfectly. (Wont my co-worker be pissed!!)[:D]
Glad you got it goin', best of luck.
