Can anyone tell me how to slick up a 94 action?
I have several old 94s and everyone a different level of
resistance in the action.
I have a post 64 that was made in the 70s and it is by far the smoothest of them all.
I have always heard that the post is by far the sorryest
of them but is the best working one of all of mine.
I would like to know waht to smooth out so they will function
very smooth.
Cartridge guides , carrier , bolt? somoething should make them better?
Thanks .

The reason your 1970s vintage feels like it is smoother is more than likely because it is cleaner (due to it being newer). If you were to conduct a very thorough cleaning (which will require some disassembly), and fresh (light) lubrication of your older 94s, you will discover that they will be at least as good, if not significantly better than the newer 94 you have. Very few people took (or take) the time to do the proper maintenance on those old Carbines simply because they are so trouble free. Unless there is truly something wrong inside one of them, no additional work on them is necessary.

I also agree, I have one that was made in the 70's ('72 or '74 I think off the top of my head) but its by far the smoothest. Don't know why or what it is. Probably just been used more.
