Gun Lube?

What do you folks use to lube the inside of your firearms?
I have used gunslick with graphite for years, but would like to try something a bit more "new and improved"
Also, it can get darn hot here in southern Idaho, so I need something that will stick while hot.
Thanks to all :)

If there is a gun lubricant or oil that I haven't used or tried it would be a miracle.Everything that is new I try.
Presently I am using an oil, lubricant on all moving parts of my handguns, rifles and shotguns called Snake Oil.I get it from Dillon Precision out of Phoenix Az.I live in Prescott Az and it gets hot here in the summer also.I have found that even with a couple of hundred rounds thru a handgun and 200+ rounds thru a shotgun I have no stoppages or failures when using Snake Oil.It does not evaporate and it seems to make cleaning less of a chore. It comes in a grease also.I also like KG lubricants.I bought them on the internet from California but now I understand they have moved to Wisconsin.I would not hesitate to use any of their products.Best. This stuff is all good. My experience over the years has been that there isn't one that is right for everything and everywhere; although, there may be a couple-a-three that are right for where you live. For a gun that is already clean and is to be set aside for perhaps a month I like G-96 Gun Treatment. I've used it with great success for years, and never had one rust up on me if so treated. Penetrates well. You just spray the parts, let it sit for 2 or 3 minutes, wipe off the excess, and put it away. It's easy to get it dripping, so don't over-do. When you decide to use the gun again it's mostly evaporated--but the protection is still there. I like Rem-Oil, it's got a little more staying ability than the G-96 and I'd consider it for a 6 month storage. One really neat thing that I came by "way back when" is white lithium based grease mixed about 4:1 with pure (if you can get it) 30 wgt. motor oil. I first learned of this mixture from buying a couple of early issue AMT Hardballers. Enclosed was a warning that moving stainless steel parts of the same alloy gall themselves in use and that the mixture would prevent this condition. I made some up, used it, and found that I never had the problem with these guns. Over time I found it to be an excellent lube for all moving parts, providing that they would not be exposed to dust and dirt, regardless of the metal involved. When I got into the world of M1 Garands I discovered a product called Lubriplate which was issued by the Govt. in little plastic containers for lubrication of the bolt, etc.--and oddly it looks and acts just like the AMT mix. (Or--is it the other way around!) Strangely, when I was in the Service and armed with an M1 I never saw that product. Anyway, to summarize, I live in the often-rainy Pacific Northwest, and the three products I have mentioned serve me well. They might not be the ticket in dry Arizona or humid Florida.

Hmm. On my favorite list right now:

Oils: RemOil for everyday use. If I run out, 50/50 mix of WD40 and 10W30. The WD is too thin on its own unless you plan on using the gun daily, and the car oil is too thick to apply well but mixed it is very nice. Have also tried Break free, nice stuff.

Grease: No real prefernce, but I generally use Hoppes 9 Gun grease or else Quicksilver marine gimble bearing lube. If it is good enough for a marine engine, goes my reasoning, with all that pressure and temp. and movement, must be good in a gun. My garand hasn't complained yet but watch it, it is green and will soak into the wood. As my stock is already so greasy I don't care and it is great on semi auto handguns. Even Vaseline seems to do ok, but it does tend to melt in hot weather.

I typically use dry lubricants like graphite in most of my semiautomatic steel frame pistols and rifles.....in my revolvers I use a light coat of either rem oil or just cheapo outers oil from walmart. The rest get a WD-40 wipedown.

I am using the Militec stuff, it seems to work good, they sent me a free sample of the grease and it looks like enough for 1000 guns!

I like MPro Ultra Lube, that stuff is smooth. For non-bearing surfaces I might put a nice thin rub on wipe off coat of CLP. For Outside exposed surfaces I use a little RIG grease.

To add to the confusion, I use Rem Oil, Castrol synthetic gun oil, and mostly Butch's Bore Oil.
