Remington 1100/870 Questions

Have 2 questions on wood for a Remington 1100 from the 1980s:

1. Is wood from an 1100 410ga the same as used on the 1100 28ga?

2. Will a stock from the 870 410ga & 28ga interchange with the 1100 of same gauges? Thanks.

I can only speak from my experiences with 12 gauge, Model 1100's and 870's.

The action spring is located in the stock of the 1100, and is much greater in diameter then the stock bolt that the 870 stock has.
