Stimpson is a member and posts here quite often. Best if you could add quality photos of it to your post, so that he could give you the skinny on it.

I picked this up from Century (odd lot), paid too much but wth, after a little tlc it shoots well but does need a reblue.
"Reblueing it would wipe out any collectors value, if it's a low production gun."...........I'm the first to agree, but this has been reblued once and has 'extra' holes + some rust spots. it had an "evidence" [:0] sticker on it when I got it.

Hold off on the reblue until after you showed photos of it to Stimpson. Some of the older H-S's were made in limited runs.

Since Most H-S's models made from the 30's until the 70's were made with consecutive serial numbers. Even though yours has a serial number with a 7 digits. Might be only a comparatively few Citation 103's were actually made. Stimpson would know if yours has any collectors value. Reblueing it would wipe out any collectors value, if it's a low production gun.

Supermatic Citation 103 series serial number 1,169,100 shipped 4/14/1961 to account number 5880-1152 on invoice number 10878.

AS High Standard pistols go this was a popular model during its production time frame (from a bout the forth quarter of 1960 through about the end of 1963) that sold very well. If they only made a quarter as many it would still not be in the top 171 lowest production High Standard guns. It would have a production rarity of PR-14.
