I am going to be getting into reloading for this cartride. I found a few loads in Cartridges of the World and in Handloader's Guide for Cartidge Conversions using IMR 3031 powder and 140 and 160gr bullets. Anybody got any using IMR 4350, 4198, BLC2, or Accur 4350? Reason I ask is this is what is on my shelf and if I don't have to buy another can of pricey powder, great.

From Handloaders Digest ca mid-1980's.120 gr. Sierra- 40gr IMR4350- 2628 fps130 gr Barnes- 41 gr IMR4350- 2581 fps140 gr Nosler Partition- 41 gr IMR4350-2478 fps140 gr Speer- 41.5 gr IMR4350- 2452 fps. These loads were fired by David E. Webb in a Model 91 Mauser action with a 22.5" sporter weight barrel. Reduce 10% for starting loads. Webb claims he has lots of experience with the 6.5 MS, and he recommends heavy bullets for most big game hunting. Kind of strange he doesn't list any loads for 160 grain bullets. Also, using less powder for the 120 bullet than he uses for the 140 grain seems bit odd. Anyway, there it is for what it's worth.
