Fox/Savage b-se 12 gauge

I have a fox savage 12 gauge double barrel shotgun with a single trigger in about 90-95% condition. I would like to shoot it; but I have been told parts are impossible to come by. I would like to know 1. if that is true; and 2. if yes; what is my gun worth so that I can trade it in on a "shooter" and not just have a "collector". I got it from a friend whose aunt had it sitting in a closet for a number of years. Thanks!

If the shotgun is in very good condition (mechanical) there is no reason not to use it. With normal care and upkeep it should provide many years of ues.

I kinda took it that you needed parts to fix it so you can shoot it. By all means if it works, use it.Had one when I was a kid, like to find another.
