browning auto 5 "sweet sixteen"

I own a browning auto 5. I figured out that it was made some time between 1903 and 1939. It is a "sweet 16". It would probably be considered in poor condition but it still shoots. As far as i can tell it is in original condition( no modifications or additions) I'm really curious as to how much it is worth as it sits.The barrel says "made in belgium"

    If it says Sweet Sixteen on the receiver then it is an imposter and you need to get rid of it and send it to me. Just kidding ya. Should say Sweet 16 if it isnt you still have a good gun.Kidd

    If your gun has the "suicide safety" (the one in front of the trigger), then you're correct as to the age... But it's not a Sweet 16!Condition to a collector is based on percentage of original finish. Your statement would lead me to believe that there's little of that left. On the other hand, finish has nothing to do with mechanical condition. If the gun remains in good mechanical condition, then it's worth upwards of $250.00. No matter what, Browning is a magical name.Oh... Don't let anyone fool you about the "suicide safety" issue. While those guns were looked down on a few years ago, it's not much of an issue anymore.
