just a couple of thangs i need to know.....

im new to owning a gun, had some before in the past but they were 22 cals and 38 revolvers....this is my first automatic, and its a taurus 40 cal.,,,,anywayz im thinkin of gettin a 45 cal, and i noticed some that shot 45 acp and some that shoot 45auto. is there any difference in the ammo?? and another thing, tell me whats tha difference between single an double action...... and one more thing please dont laugh at me for askin all this simple *.....your friend tec

    45auto and ACP [Automatic Colt Pistol] are the same cartridge. A single action pistol must have the hammer manually cocked before the trigger is pulled. Double action the hammer cocks and fires with the pull of the trigger. I didn't know these things before someone told me, so don't hesitate to ask.
