I have finnaly made a deal to get a ar-15 shorty. Now i want a scope to go on it but do not want anything high power or high priced as i am in college and am on a tight budget. I will not be shooting at more than 200 yards realistiacly. I can shoot open sighted but still want a scope or maybe a red dot not sure. Know for sure i do not want a ncstar and have been looking a leapers but know vary little about them. To make a long story short what is a decent scope or reddot to put on a ar15 hopefully for around 5o bucks. Also dont care if it is used or not just so long as it would work. Thanks for any info

I would like some input on scopes for my AR. I am interested in something for close range. 120 yards or less. Accuracy is what I am after. Will spend the money for quality. Something that is built to take a knock or two and stay in one piece. Nightvision is not on the agenda, yet. Some insight on mounts and scopes would be great. Thanks for your time.

ACOG scopes. The best. You can usually find them for sale on Gunbroker.

I just saw an ad for a new Leupold scope with illuminated reticle good to 66ft. below water, designed specifically for the AR rifles, might be worth the time to see if you can get the information from their web site, www.leupold.com I always go with Leupold, and this one looks really nice on the ad, I saw it in the new edition of Shooting Times pg. 13, it is called the Mark 4 CQ/T 1-3x14mm

Stick with a fixed power scope of high quality. I use a 6x Pentax on my HBAR and it works great. You also may like illusion dot scopes for aquiring you target quickly.RG

Aimpoint is a US Mil. spec sight. AGOG and Aimpoint are proven, and preferred. Both exciting, and very different, not just in price.
    Happy Bullet Holes!
