A friend showed me a 357 mag. colt that looked liked a python but with parkarized finish. It was called a peacekeeper. Does anyone know about this pistol. He is thinking about selling it. Should I buy and for how much.

Actually, although there is a superficial resemblence to the Python, the Peacekeeper is based on the Trooper MK V and has a different internal lockwork. As to whether or not you should buy it--that is a question that only you can answer. They are a large, heavy revolver; suitable for self-defense and hunting, but perhaps not very concealable. Top dollar for one in like new condition would be about $350 and about $250 in 95% condition.
