First, thanks to all who provided help and useful information.Orignial message alluded to the condition of my PPK that jammed and the magazine withdrew from the frame when underfire.Upshot-Walther Arms is defunked; Smith and Wesson now producing and repairing Walthers. S&W was very professional. They repaired the failed mag release catch and honed down another malfunction; shipping to and from was paid by S&W and repair cost was fair.I am, however disappointed in Walther, Virginia Arms; my PPK was purchased new, all recommended shooting guideline were applied, and the gun failed to operate out of the box.It is now fully functional and with its repair, a reliable small framed gun that is adequate for defense carry .
