I was thinking about lasermax sights for my sig 226,but I really don't much about them. Are they more hype or do they really work well and how well do they last? Any info would really be appreciated.

If you want a laser sight, these are the ones to have. Nothing is hanging off the gun and regular holsters can be used. They are NOT hype. They are very high quality and are fully guaranteed. I have one in a Beretta M92 and love it. While the round count on my laser installation is not very high, the laser unit shows no signs of damage or wear.

I saw a bit on Discovery about internal lasers, while they didn't name LazerMax specifically, I beleive they are the only ones making internal lasers ... but I could be wrong.Back to the point: They were demonstrating it on a Glock 22 and said it had a "life expentcy" of 200,000 rounds or about twice the life expentcy of the gun ... their words, not mine!
