Is there such a thing as a Rifle dictionary? What does MOA mean? How about bedded or floated? Maybe I need to pick up a copy of a rifle mag at Walmart. I'm new to high power rifles and am hungry for knowledge and some good reference material. Anyone have some good suggestions? Thanks

MOA = Minutes of Arc (1" @ 100 yards = 1 MOA).Bedded = (forget about ladies here) VERY close tolerance fit, if not actually glued in.Floated = no point of contact; as in, a barrel not being in contact with the stock - to have it otherwise can have an adverse effect on the barrel's vibration during a bullet's passage from one end to the other.Suggestions: keep asking questions here; check out some of the books offered on GunBroker & elsewhere.

A book I particularly like is Jim Carmichael's The Book of the Rifle. Also The Accurate Rifle by Warren Page. Take a look at http://whipper.abebooks.com and run a search to locate a good used copy.
