Has anyone converted another cartridge to this? Can 6.5 car. be fire formed to 7.35? If so, what is the disater ratio? I tried 35 rem but couldn.t shrink the base enough to chamber. Thanks

Ooh, a Carcano question... my specialty! Yes, 6.5X52 Carcano can be used. You don't even need to fireform, just run through a 7.35 sizing die to expand the neck; though you may need to anneal your brass to keep it from splitting, I generally don't. Cases can also be formed from 6.5X54 Greek Mannlicher Schoenaur if trimmed to length and resized. Only problem is finding jacketed bullets in this oddball diameter.

If you need the brass Buffalo Arms Co.(www.buffaloarms.com) Carries both the 6.5 and the 7.35. My only real problem is finding the soft nosed .298 - .300 bullets. The best dies I have found are made by Lee, and they are also the cheapest.

Roma- I would like to find some bullets for reloading 7.35. I don't care if they are soft point or FMJ. If you know of a source please post it on this thread. thanks.

roma & kaboom - I have hundreds of .298 SP made by Speer in the 50s / 60s, which I would be delighted to sell for $20/100. Contact me directly at tcg25@hotmail.com
