Bullet suggestions for M70 .300Mag

I am trying to find a handload that will give me the best accuracy in a hunting bullet. I am shooting a Winchester Model 70 XTR in 300WM. I tried Speer Grand Slam bullets; I wasn't happy with the 2.5 - 3.0" groups at 100 yards but they worked good on elk. I have only tried 180gr bullets but I am open to trying 165's if you think the accuracy could improve. I would rather not go up to 200gr bullets. Some guys mentioned a couple of loads on another of my posts....I am looking for other suggestions as well. Thanks in advance for your suggestions.

180 grain nosler partition is the only way to go.(I back it with a stiff charge of RL-22 powder)

How about the new Hornady SST bullets?

K is right or the Combined Technology Fail Safe of the same weight. You need a bullet that will stay together for elk. Try 71.0 grs. of IMR 4350, Federal 215 primers in W-W cases with the Nosler Partition, shot three shot group one ragged hole at one hundred yards at 3044 fps out of my Winchester M70 Classic Stainless. Also had great group with RL-22 and Nosler but do not remember the charge weight.

NOSLER 180GR PARTITIONS AND FOLLOW THE LOADS IN THE BOOK, AND FIND WHICH ONE SHOOTS BEST.

My model 70, 300 Win mag won't shoot anything but Hornadays 180 gr SP decently, I,ve tried all the Speers, Noslers, Barnes, Combined and various others. I don't know why, that bullet works well with several different powders. Ordinarily Hornaday is not one of my favorite bullets.

My Classic Stainless M70 (BOSS-equipped) does sub-1" @ 100 yards with Barnes solid copper 200 gr. Just fired a batch of load tests last Sunday. Surprised myself, too; I'm kind of new to this caliber.
