    Need some help with the serial #. If the # starts with G it has to be at least G700,000. Recheck your #.

    Sorry, can't help on value, but would like to confirm that I have several "G" numbered m70s well below the 700,000 range that the authority ( Mr G. Madis) states is the lower range. I've tried to find about this anomaly for 2 years but have been unsuccessful. It may make some difference in valuation.

    Call Winchester and ask for their historian, certain models in certain calibers just don't follow the serial number sequence, I have several that fall out of place
