A good question came up at work today. Is it leagal to have a preban hicap mag in a post ban gun. Such as a hicap preban .40 cal magazine in a postban manufactured .357 Sig gun. It fits and functions fine.

As long as the magazine is not LE ONLY marked, and as long as you are not violating any state laws regarding magazine capacity, you are fine.

Thanks AD. as usual your opinions are apreciated. That was my opinion also. What actually started this discussion was the fact that my friend wanted to install a flash suppressor on a post ban Colt Hbar. He was told he cold not install a preban item on a post ban gun. And then we went to the mag question.

I am surprised that no one else had any input on this question. Not that I dispute AD at all ( because I dont't) , but I assumed there would be other opinions and/or facts.

You didn't get more replies because we would just be confirming Doc's statement. RG
