Buddy has his dad's 1942 vintage Winchester - supposedly original and very good condition. What kind of price range are we looking at?

there are many people on GB more qualified than me but i would say a "vintage" WW2 M1-garand rifle depending on serial number and condition would be worth at least $2000 but probably much more.

I would say in the $750-3,500 range, depending upon condition and exactly how many parts on it are original. It would have to be seen by an expert in order to get a more exact value. If it were mine, I'd ship it to Scott Duff and pay him for a written evaluation.Neal
