Ok I'll give it up. 165 grain remington golden sabers with 5 grains of accurate #2 & I use CCI primers for this load. Killer accuracy and big time stopping power. Try it. You'll like it. RG

Ok Ok I admit I do not reload. Does this mean I can not have a pet load?

I like practice loads in the following.180 grain lead flat point---6.8 hodgdon HS6----overall length 1.10-1.12or155 grain lead round nose---8 grain HS6---overall length 1.10-1.20These have enough velocity for a good group and enough power to function the weapon.I use a short barrel KAHR MK 9 and KAHR K 40HS6 is absolutely great. It accelerates the bullet at such a rate that the kick is greatly reduced from some other powders. I've tried probably 6 to 8 different powders and win 231 was also very good.EricHope that helps

rg666- no kidding, I was about to cook up that exact same load. I'm thinking about bulk ordering Golden Saber's from Widners and using the #2 powder I already have with the CCI Primers I already have. Thanks, this helped me make my mind up. Hope you don't mind me using your load.
