Colt Auto

I have a Colt MKIV Series 70 Gold Cup National Match in .45 auto. At a gun show someone refered to this as a large letter. What does large letter mean? Does my colt have any collector value? Gun is 100% original and in 98+% condition. Thanks to all replies.
