Probably been asked, but, say you have the time to keep after it, and aside from deadbeat bidders, any other down sides to selling off a collection of personal firearms using GunBroker and the like?

I recently sold a gun through Gunbroker, and it was a pleasant experience. GB's rate structure is fair. However, you must:---read and follow GB rules,---post photos of your item---describe it accurately---explain your return policy in detail---know & follow all federal laws---know & follow all shipping regulationsOne hint: don't use the Buy It Now option.Neal

If you look hard enough, you can find sites that have classified adds for free to list your guns, and they work.

I've been using GB for a two or three years now to buy and sell, in that time (well over 300 transactions, most through GB but a few on the side) I've had maybe 3-4 deadbeat/problem bidders and no problem sellers ... I find the hardest thing to get is people to post their feedback for you!I like the "Buy it Now" option for common stuff and multipal items, or on something that you've listed 2-3 times ... You can cost yourself bids using it on rare items though ... For instance the Browning skeet set I had asked for a value here for a while back, I got several replies in the mid 3K range as a probable max price, it went for $4275 ... glad I didn't set my "BIN" price at $3700 like I was thinking about.
Here's a thought: Let's make criminals responsible for their crimes ... ...Not blame society and the tools they use!kimberkid@gunbroker.zzn.com
If you really desire something, you'll find a way ?
? otherwise, you'll find an excuse.

Start out by selling some small shooting items first. If not that, then lowest priced gun to highest. A lot of us wont bid on a high dollar item from a new seller.

Back when I had money, I got into trouble with a seller about me not having any feed backs. Ended up making a "policy" that I provided to all the people that I purchased from. Feedback posted... good, bad or indifferent, or you don't get a second sale from me. I absolutely refuse to purchase a second time from somebody that won't post feedbacks.
