I lost my NRA article that featured well known loading data for the Garand. I am mainly looking for a good accurate plinking load that functions the action well with the 150 FMJBT and 4064 powder. Thanks

I don't know which article you lost---the Rifleman seems to do periodic write ups on the .30-06. Perhaps it was this one: ".30-06 A Cartridge For All Reasons!" by C.E. Harris, November/December 1994. Page 66 lists a IMR 4064 load for the 150 gr. jacketed bullet, approximating Ball M2 ballistics, of 48.0 starting to 50.0 maximum. "Reloading For The M1 Rifle" by John R. Clarke, March 1986, page 51 shows 49.0 gr. of IMR 4064, 150 gr. Sierra MatchKing HPBT at 2701 FPS on up to 50.5 gr. of IMR 4064 at 2813 FPS. E-mail your USPO address to ccnorth@teleport.com if you desire copies of the articles.
