Anyone know of or ahd any problems sighitng in there slug guns with Remington Copper Solids this year with "New for 2001" loads? My blood is definitley Rem_Green but man I have to say after taking a few boxes of these saboted slugs and pushing them through 4 differnt Rem guns (2-1100s and 2-870s) and not being able to even hit the same isde of a target I am beginning to wonder.Remington's recommendation is to wait five mintutes (letting the barrell cool)before shooting consecutive rounds but that is completely impractical in a hunting situation where, heaven forbid, it takes two shots!

William- Just to let you know I have contacted Rem about this and they say that their tests indicated that these slugs were BETTER than the last evolution of the slug (these are the third evolution). To make matter worse we were outshot by a smooth bore Mossburg that was slinging your everyday run of the mill pumkin balls!

Funny, my Mossbergs have always shot everything well, including the Copper Solids. Maybe you should not fault the round, and buy a Mossberg? I had to go there.

With my 11-87 with a Hasting cantilever barrel, leupold scope, cold windless days, I got 5 shot 6" groups @ 100yds.Expensive to shoot, somewhat punishing, and not that accurate. At least not what Remington claims.

Shoot nothing but Remington Copper solids through my Mossberg and Ithaca-Never have a problem, and always very tight groups out to 75 yards. Robsguns is right-get rid of those piece of junk remington shotguns you all have, and get a real shotgun.

Williams81- YOU CRINGE?! Tell me about it. I still get weepy eyed when I tell that story. However, the guilty party did replace the barrel, and the gun shoots as well as it did before. And as far as the 870s- I dont know how they shoot-i just like funnin'.
