    It was a "play" on the european made Westley Richards brand name. They were inexpensive, Belgian made (should have an oval with "ELG" somewhere on the barrels) "hardware" shotguns. They were imported in the late 19th century and early 20th century. Believe me you "ain't" got a Westley Richards.It has Damascus barrels. Unless checked out by a competent gunsmith versed in Damascus and early "armory steel" barrrels, and who has the fiberoptic equipment to check "INSIDE" of the barrels for any evidence of delamination, you should not attempt to fire it. I don't give a @#$% what you have heard about "low-brass" shotshells, it is "NOT correct.Very likely, she is a bit on the clunky side (does not have the graceful lines of a Dumolin for example--another Belgian made but much higher quality shotgun) and probably her best and highest function is as a "mantle queen" over the fireplace.She might go for $150-225" to someone wanting interior decoration for the "great room".
