I have been having fun doing stock refinishing and repair on my guns and family guns. I am putting together my first Brownell's order for supplies and I would like your recommendations on what stock refinishing products they carry that you would recommend. I have the following on my list:Old fashioned WhitingChem-Pak custom oil finish (spray)acra-quick epoxyacra-dyesTriple F compound.Felt PadsWhat other Brownell wood finishing products do you recommend? Thanks[This message has been edited by mbrook (edited 02-22-2002).]

Go to this site: www.reevesfurniture.com The owner has been repairing and refinishing wood since 1980. Ask him any specific questions, tell him Bryan sent you, and he'll give you some great advice.

Dem-Bart Checkering oil makes a very good finish when rubbed on like Tru-oil. G-B Linspeed is another good one, as is tung oil. I do not like spray finishes myself, seems I always get a run no matter how careful. Also get some of the liquid stock rubbing compound, can not remmeber the name, but it will remove many small marks without removing the finish. Might also want some Carnuba paste wax. The Pilkington stains and finishes are also great stuff.
