Ruger Mark II re-assembly HELP!!

Hi,
Anybody know of a site that might have instructions/directions on how to re-assemble my Mark II? I took it apart to replace the trigger, bolt release, hammer and sear and perform a good cleaning. I had purchased a Gun Digest Book of Firearms Assembly/Disassembly but it's real vague and only shows a gun being field stripped. I had read somewhere that some company had put out a "quick how to"for a few bucks but I can't remember who it was. I could probably take it to the local gunshop and have it reasembled but I wouldn't learn anything that way. Any help would be appreciated.

The American Gunsmithing Institute has some great videos that would probably help you. I wouldn't know where else to recommend besides a gunsmith.

www.ontargetguns.com click Ruger Tricks & Tips. I didn't go all the way through it, but it looked informative. Good Luck.

The link oneshy gave you is a good one. It helped me get my dad's 22/45 back together after I stripped it. Also if it doesn't work the first time, keep trying, you'll get it eventually. Saxon, I don't think it's possible to ever get the hang of it.

Try this forum. It's dedicated to the Mark 2 and 22/45 and the guys over there know everything about that gun.

Ontarget is great! I can now take my Mark II apart and put it back together in a matter of minutes, instead of hours! :)

Keep trying.....the first few times is tough.....

One hint: when you go to put the spring back in, and they say to point the muzzle up, shake it a bit to make sure the piece inside (firing pin, I think) falls.......

NO! You may not have my guns! Now go crawl back into your hole!

Just make sure you point it down and squeeze the trigger, and make sure the little rod in the grip is over the bar and not caught behind it.Works the first time every time.

Look in your owners manual. If you don't have one, contact Ruger and they will send one for free.

The owner's manual doesn't seem to do it. On Target helped me A LOT.
