remington rifle clips

i am wanting to find out if extra capacity clips were made for a remington model 597 .22 rifle. standard clip is 10 rounds. any input would be appreciated.

    To my knowledge their are not any hi caps avialable for these guns.

    THE 597'S WERE MADE AFTER THE 1996 MAGAZINE BAN, NO HI-CAP CAN BE MADE IN THE US FOR IT.

    Spares seem to be very readily available around hear. Even Wal-mart has them, for $7.99 each. Most all the gunshops carry them for $9.99 each.



    I just wish I had a dollar for every gun I wanted, then I'd be a rich man.

    It is correct that the 597's started being made after the ban, but the ban was 1994, not 1996 as previously mentioned. Consequently there is not now, nor will there ever be, any of the magazines produced in this country for the 597 that can hold more than 10 rounds. That is unless the 1994 Crime Bill is reversed, which is doubtful.

    Hopefully in 2004, when the '94 ban bill is up for renewal, with ashcroft there, they won't renue it and we'll be able to see magazines with capacities over 10rds.

    Just pray for it. Every night I do.

    I was told that supposely you could buy High-capacity mag's for the 10/22, where at? Canada. Maybe, just maybe one could find something for the 597 up there.
