I have an old Colt revolver and I am not sure which model it is. How do you tell the diiference between a 1892 and 1894 or 1895? Mine has the double cylinder notches , square cylinder release and double locking bolt. The pat. dates on the barrel are Aug 5 84,Nov 6 88, Mar 5 95. Interesting old gun as the cylinder turns counterclockwise and the plate is on the right side. It is a .41 cal. Thanks.

Classic095, how did you ever get the idea that the New Service used the double bolt system? The New Service was not introduced until 1898, and absolutely did not use the double bolt system. Did you mean the New Model Army or Navy?
