Cheapest place to buy scope...

I'm looking for the best deal on a springfield armroy 4-14x40 .223ret scope. So far I've found them advertised for $349.99 in shotgun news, but I swear I've seen them cheaper elsewhere.

Oh yea, I already know about Springfields reputation. I have a very wierd reason for it, not willing to explain.

Thanks, Lee.

If I'm wrong please correct me, I won't be offended.

Don't know about the specific scope you are looking at, but try swfa.com They have new and display scopes.

You might e-mail springfield armory and ask them who they sell thru, and they might just give you a list of wholesalers and or distributors. SWFA is good but sometimes their prices can be beat, not usually but often, Jerry's and Natchez and others run specials on differant brands.

I'll second (or third, actually) SWFA. Their service is excellent. As far as pricing, they came down a few bucks to meet a price I found online from a vender I was somewhat leery of. I didn't want to order from the unknown vender, but informed SWFA of the lower price when I ordered. They charged me the lower price and shipped the scope immediately.

    They are at http://www.riflescopes.com/

They also sell closeouts and demos at http://www.samplelist.com/

Another excellent source for scopes, though probably not Springfield Armory, is www.bearbasin.com Top quality scopes, rock bottom prices, great service.

I think I can still get Springfield scopes- at least I could last fall. I can check the first of next week to see if my wholesaler has what you're looking for. Email me: robertthead@hotmail.com

I would be catious with Bearbasin. I once enquired about a Leupold scope price two years ago. He came up with an OK price but really pushed me to buy now, claiming there was a factory price increase coming in two weeks. I e-mailed Leupold and was told there was no such increase planned. He lied to me!
My best luck is at www.midsouthshooterssupply.com/
    and www.natchezss.com

Concerning the Leupold's, they always raise their price around the last week of Jan. to the first week of Feb..
