What can be done to make this a better firearm. Anything. It is accurate as hell when it doesn't jam. Please help.

Most jams are caused by incorrect feeding from the magazine: i.e. meaning in most cases, the magazine is at fault. Check magazine's position in mag well. Is it loose? Can you pull it "up and down" with ease? Try using your hand to hold the magazine up and tight when you fire a round. If it jams, clear the jam and try it again holding the magazine down. It this doesn't help or find it works well one way or the other, load your magazine and push one round at a time out like the gun would, watching how the round behaves. Does it snap out sticking up? Does it drag? Why? See if you can "tweek" the lips very slightly to correct any of these problems. Try it again. Generally, I have been able to make most of these operate satisfactorily doing these things. If not able to "adjust" so that it feeds, Sell it to someone who want its and thinks he can! Good Luck!

Just to confound the issue: A friend was given a Parker .45 longslide by his brother, it wouldn't get thru a magazine of hardball without 2 or 3 FTF's. He asked me about ammunition, all I had was 200 LSWC's loaded to Major...if it won't feed hardball, there's not a chance it will feed semi-wadcutter, right? Wrong. It runs like a watch, quite accurate too.

I never got a chance to examine the gun closely so can offer no logical explanation, but messing around with ammunition can't hurt, might help.

    Good luck db3s

Polish as you would for any clone of the .45 Colt semi. When these first came out, they quickly gained a bad reputation for jamming.
Try smoothing and polishing the feed ramp, rails, etc. You might consider a replacement recoil spring. If you don't want to try it, email me at cedarnut@aol.com for a price quote.
