Ducks Unlimited Marlin .22 model 990

How much value does the Ducks Unlimited model gain over a regular 990? I know the regular only runs about $125.00 - 150.00. Nice little shooter for my boy. Just wondering about value - I paid $129.00.

    Don't know if this helps any...

    I got a Remington 597 .22lr Ducks Unlimited and no ones really willing to pay any more for it than a normal 597. The most I've had offered was $20 over what you can get one new at walmart for.

    That's about what I figured. I always wondered if the "special ones" were worth more. This does have a nicer grade of wood, but everything else is the same. Thanks for the reply.

    I think that if it had some nice engraving and gold enlaying, then it would be alot more. But the only thing that make my 597 different from any other is a screen printed DU logo on the stock and a DU attached on the end of the serial #.

    My father in law bought all of the NRA and Ducks Unlimited edition guns from the annual dinners every year for a while. When he went to sell them for what he had payed (auction at the dinners), he didn't have many takers. They are a nice one to keep if you get them for close to the same price as the regular model. I see them usually listed for maybe $50 more than the regular versions.

    A great rifle with a junk scope,....is junk.
