Anyone who knows AR-15's out there i could you use some help.

Im looking to buy a flat-top, heavy barrelled ar-15 for long range varminting and target shooting, something that can help maximize the little .223 rounds potential while still being relatively affordable. Ive basically narrowed it down to the DPMS Panther Bull, Bushmaster v-match, Rock River Varmint, or American Spirit Arms heavy barrelled rifle. Any of you guys have any experience with any of these guns? Any advice or info would be much appreciated. Also, what barrel length, 20, 22, or 24 ?? What type of flat-top, high rise or standard?? Accuracy and reliablity are the main things, so if there are any ar-15 authorities help me out here. thanks

I got a 1 inch diameter olympic arms match and never could
get a better than 1- 1 1/2 inch group even with carefully loaded
    handloads.

I got rid of the olympic upper and got a match rock river upper
    for about 525.00

It gets 1/2 inch groups on the olmpic lower.
I also got an adjustable trigger that cost me about 175.00

My vote is for the Rock River. It costs a bit more but I know
I can pop a squirrel at 200 yds.
It is so cool to put bullets practically on top of each other.

If you want the info about the guy who sells this stuff, he is a
cop sniper and sells these on the side at a very reasonable price.

    Eric-

Thanks for the info. Ive kinda been leaning towards the rock river or DPMS. What length barrel do you have on your rifle?? Also, do you know any websites where i could get more information on the Rock River rifles or maybe pricing?

    Anyone else with any advice??

    Take a look at www.ar15.com.
For max performance I would be looking at a 24 or 26" barrel.

The most accurate factory barrel is the Olympic SUM.
Otherwise, almost all the others are made by Wilson Barrel Co.
I have a 20" Bushmaster 20" VMatch flattop upper for sale.
    New and unfired.

I looks like cpermd has you covered thats a good combination and in the long run you would be ahead. I have one and it shoots better than I can.

    Good Luck.
