After reading the m 16 select fire post I was thinking, are there parts in a FAL parts kit that would be illegal if you owned a FAL?

    Actually from what I understand, alot of those FAL kits are semi-auto. I could be ablsolutely wrong about this, because the only thing I know is from what I remeber from watching a documentary about this. But some of the military forces either converted or started manufacturing their FAL's in semi-auto, because they were finding that full-auto weapons were a big waiste of ammo on the battlefield. For the same reason our military went to the 3rd burst instead of full auto.
