SIG P220 ST

Anyone use one of these. I am a big fan of the 220, but I'm not sure I could justify one of the new model. I like the heavier frame and it feels great, and I like being able to hang a light on it, but is there some other performance advantage to it?

I suspect it might not fit in a standard holster either. Any experience would help me determine if I should add one to my shopping list.

Just bought a SIG P220 ST with the SIG-Lite night sites. Since it's my first with night sights, how long can I expect them to glow before they wear out?

    Thanks.

Bumping this forward. Any SIG maven advice would be appreciated.

The 220 ST has about half the felt recoil the standard 220 has. The gun falls back into place after each shot has been fired. This is a very nice weapon. If you have the means I suggest buying one. You will never find another .45 that shoots like that out of the box.

Less recoil seems to make sense given the heft. Not that I have any problem with the regular SIG P220, but sounds like just the kind of gun you'd want for extended shooting practice.

I've shot a lot of 220 STs and have never had any problems with them. I think its one of the best, if not the best .45 on the market. No complaints at all with that gun. It's a 45 you can shoot all day and not feel it.
