Who makes custom flash supressors?

Trying to find one for a Savage 10fxp bolt action in .223.
Anyone have any ideas?
I have heard to find a gunsmith to fit one from an AR or something to it, but alas- not even the large gunshops can point me to a smith in the People's Republik of MAryland.

Try Duffy's Gun Room, 15433 Falls Rd, Sparks, MD 21152, 410-771-4398, www.duffysguns.com. He is a Class III dealer and does a lot of Class III repairs.

Now, he doesn't MAKE flash suppressors, but what I think that you want is to have a threaded adaptor attached to your barrel so that you can screw on a standard .223 suppressor.

I think Wilson Combat, Or Les baer will custom make them but it will cost you but probably be worth it.

    Good Luck.

Take it to a local machine shop and have them thread it to 1/2X28.
Then any thing for the AR will fit.

I live west of Baltimore, about 2 1/2 hours from Salisbury; Duffy's is about an hour northeast of me, half way between Baltimore and the PA line off I-83.

cpileri---have you figured how expensive this is going to be? The guy next to me at the range last year paid $600 for his suppressor and $200 for the tax stamp; add the cost of threading the barrel....OUCH! You really have to want it badly for that money.

nmeyers, let me know when/if you are headed to O.C. or the shore anytime in the future, maybe get together and shoot at a local range or the property I hunt/sight in on. You too cpileri. Always nice to meet a member of the forum.

I'm in Silver Spring. H0ow far off is that?
Also, i just want a flash supressor, not a SILENCER (no tax stamps, etc!) or a muzzle break. Shouldn't be 600bucks!
Sure, i'd love to get together with forum members.
    Schedule is pretty hectic, though.
    Lemme know what works out!

Ooops, sorry, my mistake. I guess my mind blanked out the word "flash" because I couldn't comprehend the need for flash suppression on the type of rifle you describe. Of course, cpermd's suggestion still sounds the best to me.
