I saw a Ruger mkII today and wanted to ask someone about these rifles. The rifle i looked at was a .308 and was heavy, but felt good to me. How do they shoot? What is the range? Are they worth the cost of putting on a scope? thank you!

Ruger makes a good, solid rifle and I don't think you will be disappointed. The factory triggers need a little tweaking, but other than that, I have had no problems with my Ruger.

I agree with Chris. They are not custom, and the triggers are set at about 6#, but a Timney replacement for about $80 more and you are good to go. I have two and both of them can shoot minute of angle if I can.

I have 2 M77's. 220 swift heavy bbl. and a 300 win mag. Both great guns! I will shoot along side of any factory rifle made and hold my own with these 2 stock Rugers. Great gun! Great price!

Ruger 77 are just OK in my book, I've deal with 3 in my experiences. The average group I could shoot with them is about 1.5" at 100 yd.s
this was with 30-06, 270, & 22-250. On the average a Rem 700 shoots a better group. My 700 ADL 270 shoots a 1/2" group all day long with any cartridge I've run across. My 2 cents ...GOOD LUCK! Mark

Duck, i hope they have calmed down. I fired 4 rounds and into a 6-7 foot sand pile to test it, then went to the front of my property to wait for the sheriff and they never came. I waited close to an hour before going inside. Cool huh?
