Budget Ammo for SIG P230

I recently picked up a used SIG P230 that I thought would make a nice gun for the lady of the house. It seems to shoot quite accurately first time but it hanged up a bit with the Magtech FMJs I shot. It probably just needed a good cleaning and oiling. Looks like it sat in the box more than used.

I wanted to stock up on some budget ammo for practice via the web as it's nearly $10 a box locally for the Magtech. Can I get your opinion on some of the budget offerings like S&B, Wolf, Blazer, American Eagle and Winchester White Box. I suspect the 230 might be a bit finicky as to its digestion and I don't want to buy a lot of ammo that might not work too well.

The ammo that I have shot out of 232s has been hornady jhp and remington golden saber and I have never had a problem with functioning. My advice would be to buy a box of the manufacturers you mentioned. After each box clean the gun and start with a new one. I'm guessing you probably won't have many problems with functioning.
The only Sig product I have heard of having trouble with a particular type of ammo is the M2 Mauser. The ammo was Wolf and I think they said that the gun didn't like the laquered cases, but I have yet to test it.

Try wolf brand ammo its not relodable, but its cheap and you can buy it in bulk. I have yet to see a gun that failed to digest it. Look in the Sportsman Guide. Hope this helps!!
